How does the commission process work?
The process begins with your photograph.
Once you submit your enquiry and reference images, I will personally review the photographs to assess their quality, composition and suitability for the artwork. If the image is suitable, I will confirm the commission details, production timeframe and shipping costs. Once payment has been received, work on the artwork will begin.
What kind of photographs work best?
For the best results, photographs should be high-resolution, sharp and well-lit.
Close-up images generally produce the strongest artworks, as they allow facial features, expressions and character to be captured with greater detail. Photographs with simple or uncluttered backgrounds are also recommended, helping the subject remain the focal point of the composition.
How many people or pets can appear in a portrait?
For optimal detail and visual impact, I generally recommend photographs featuring no more than one or two subjects.
Images containing larger groups, or subjects that appear very small within the frame, may limit the level of detail that can be achieved in the final artwork.

Can I send more than one photograph?
Yes.
In fact, I encourage clients to submit several photographs whenever possible. This allows me to review different options and select the image that offers the strongest artistic result.
What happens if my photograph is not suitable?
If the photograph does not provide sufficient quality, detail or composition for the process, I will let you know before any payment is requested.
In many cases, an alternative photograph can be selected.
How long does production take?
The average production time is between two and three working days, depending on the complexity of the artwork and the current volume of commissions.
Before work begins, you will always be informed of the estimated completion date.
Do I need to pay before the artwork is created?
Yes.
Once your photograph has been reviewed and approved, payment is required before production begins.
This ensures that every commission receives the necessary time and attention from the outset.
Is each artwork unique?
Absolutely.
Every piece is individually created from your photograph and produced specifically for you. Each artwork is signed and numbered, making it a unique original piece rather than a mass-produced reproduction.
Is this a print?
No.
The final artwork is not a photographic print. Each piece is physically created through a drawing process that reconstructs the image using thousands of individual lines, resulting in an original artwork on paper.
What sizes are available?
The standard sizes currently available are:
- A3 (29.7 × 42 cm)
- 50 × 70 cm

How much does a commissioned portrait cost?

How much does shipping cost?
Shipping within European Union countries is £8.
For destinations outside the European Union, shipping costs will be calculated according to the destination country and communicated before the commission is accepted.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes.
My artwork is held in private collections across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia, and I regularly ship internationally.
Can the artwork be framed?
Artworks are delivered unframed unless otherwise agreed.
This allows collectors to choose a framing style that best suits their interior and personal preferences.
Can I commission something other than a portrait?
Yes.
While portraits of people and pets are the most common commissions, I am also open to discussing other subjects and bespoke projects.
